Dear Members,
Sub:- “India Leather Show”, Dusseldorf, Germany (February 19-20, 2019)
As part of Annual Action Plan of export promotion activities approved by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Council for Leather Exports (CLE) is organizing “India Footwear Show” (an exclusive show for all categories of footwear) in Offenbach, Germany during February 19-20, 2019, under Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme.
Germany’s import of footwear (leather & non-leather) has increased from USD 9173.77 million during 2013-14 to USD 11363.93 million during 2017-18, growing at a CAGR of 5.5%. On the other hand, India’s export of footwear (leather & non-leather) has increased from USD 280.72 million during 2013-14 to USD 287.59 million during 2017-18, holding a share of 2.53% in the overall import of footwear products by Germany. These figures clearly indicates that there exists enormous opportunities for Indian exporters to increase their share of export in the German market.
Venue of the Show:- Venue for conducting ‘India Footwear Show’ has been booked @ Euromoda, Anton-Kux-Straße 2, 41460 Neuss, Dusseldorf Germany.
Event Management Agency:- CLE is availing the services of Prexma Limited, Dusseldorf, Germany as the Event Management Agency for conducting the BSM, including mobilizing the targeted number of buyers.
Exhibit Categories:- All categories of footwear products (leather and non-leather)
Participation cost:- Taking into account the overall expenditure, subsidized cost of participation fee for a 9 sq. mtr. booth with all basic display accessories would be Rs. 50,000/- (rupees fifty thousand only). However, un-subsidized participation fee works out to Rs. 1.00 lakhs.
Air-fare re-imbursement:- As per MAI guidelines, members (who are eligible) can claim airfare re-imbursement (subject to ceiling limits), for their participation in the ‘India Footwear Show’ Germany.
Members may also note that participants will have to arrange the Visa on their own. However, CLE will arrange for the Invitation Letter from the Event Management Agency to facilitate obtaining Visas by participants. Kindly note that non-issuance of Visa will not be considered as valid reason for withdrawal subsequent to confirmation of participation. Hence, withdrawal from participation after confirmation will not be allowed for any reasons and participation fee paid by the members are non-refundable.
Keeping in view the above, interested members are requested to please send the attached application form, duly completed, along with the applicable participation fee (as per details given above) to the nearest Regional/Extension Offices of CLE, latest by 23rd October, 2018.
Participation will be confirmed on ‘first-come-first served’ basis.
