Sub: EMPREINTES, International Brand Forum, Bordeaux, France, Nov 5-6, 2009

The Council has received information from Embassy of India, Paris, that an International Brand Forum EMPREINTES will be held in Bordeaux, France during Nov 5-6, 2009.

Event Information

This 5th Edition of the biennial meeting will bring together, on two days, Directors of the World’s leading brands, industrialists, marketing and communication people and also distributors and experts in the fields of clothing and consumer items industry (textile, jewellery, leather goods). The Event enables the industrialists in consumer items to take up a two fold challenge.

Trying to keep ahead of the groundswell of trends by grasping the mechanisms which will make and break brands, nationally and internationally.

Developing their business by comparing practices and by speeding up decision-making.
The recognized success of the previous editions of the EMPREINTES Forum stems not only from the quality and number of participants but also from the numerous possibilities for discussion at the very highest level between the leading brands producers on the global scale and the best experts of the time.

India is the Country of Honour in the EMPREINTES to be held during Nov 5-6, 2009. The organizer of the Event hope to help the participants of EMPREINTES discover the keys of success of Indian Industrialists and Indian distributors during a conference dedicated to India, and sensitize the Indian Industrialists to the keys of understanding the European market and specifically French market (importance of Brand and Networks)
Conferences

In all, there will be 22 conferences in the EMPREINTES. These Conferences will focus on the major themes – new consumers, new challenges, and new tools. The Programme Schedule for the Conferences is attached herewith. One of the conferences will be dedicated to India, with the title `India – Leader of the 3rd Millennium? This India conference will be held on Nov 6 th 2009, which will be of about 90 minute’s duration between 9am and 10.30am. The Conference will be in the form of a debate between 5 or 6 speakers who all have an expertise and an interesting perspective on this subject and it will be a place for exchange of information where these speakers their share their experience and discuss the opportunities of Indian Trade in the world.

One-to-one Meetings

Separately as part of EMPREINTES, the Event Organizer will be arranging one-to-one meetings for Indian participants with the French Leaders, Managers, and decision makers. These Individualized appointments will have the opportunities to establish business relations with the players in the textiles, footwear and leather industry in France. The one-to-one meetings will be planned and organized by the EMPREINTES organizer.

Participation Fee

The organizer will be charging a participation fee of Euro 400 + tax is payable per person. This will cover access to all the conferences, lunches of Nov 5th and 6th, cocktail buffet of Nov 5th evening, individualized one-to-one meetings.

CLE Participation in this Event, as Road Show

Since India is the Country of Honour in this Event, the Council would be participating in the EMPREINTES representing the India. The Council will join the debate in the India Conference and will highlight the opportunity potential in the Indian leather industry, Government of India’s efforts and initiatives to facilitate the foreign entrepreneurs to have collaborations with India, India’s growth, economic situation etc. The growing domestic market for footwear and leather goods in India will also be highlighted in this conference. Further, in order to disseminate information on the Indian leather industry, the Event organizer has provided complementary space to the Council for setting up of an Information Booth. The Council will be distributing the information kit to the visitors and interact with trade visitors in this Booth. This activity will be treated as Road Show to promote the Indian leather industry in France market, under the Mission Mode Scheme of the ILDP.

Procedures for Participation

Indian companies interested to participate in the EMPREINTES are requested to kindly confirm their participation directly to the Organizer, along with participation fee of Euro 400 + tax per person.
