Sub : Inviting Participation in MOSSHOES-MOSPEL Fair, September 10-13, 2018

As part of Annual Action Plan, the Council is organizing participation in the MOSSHOES-MOSPEL FAIR, September 10-13, 2018 at Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center, Krasnogorsk, Russia under the MAI Funding support of the Government.

Russia’s Market Potential

Russia is the 15th largest importer of leather & leather products in the world. Russia and the neighboring CIS countries are major users of Footwear and leather accessories.

India’s export of leather and leather products to Russia has increased from US$ 28.63 million in 2012-13 to US$ 51.59 million in 2016-17, growing at a CAGR of 16.17%. Currently, India accounts for a share of 1.93% in Russia’s total import of leather and leather products, thus offering ample scope to further enhance India’s exports to Russia.

MOSSHOES-MOSPEL Fair

MOSSHOES is the leading Footwear, Accessories & Materials Exhibition in Russia. Launched in 1997, the fair is now into its 19th year. The fair receives visitors from Russia, neighboring countries and far abroad. It has become one of the biggest footwear exhibitions in Eastern Europe. The Fair has evolved continuously with display extending to Accessories and Raw Material, Components & Machinery. Leather Goods/Accessories are being displayed along with Footwear in MOS Shoes and also in a concurrent show i.e. MOSSPEL Fair.

Post Show Report :

As Members are kindly aware that the Council for the first time organized the group participation of MOSSHOES-MOSPEL Fair during March 2018 with 45 member companies. As per the feedback, over 330 business meetings were held during the fair. As per the fair organizer, 15000 visitors from all Russia regions and neighboring countries attended the fair.

Considering the market potential and member companies interests in participation, the Council is organizing the Participation of member-exporters in the MOSSHOES-MOSPEL Fair, during Sept 10-13, 2018.

Customs Clearance Agent :  The Council is exploring the possibility of engaging a Customs Clearance Agent facilitating hassle free clearance of samples brought by the participants. Once the agency and terms are finalized, the same will be informed to the confirmed participants.

Subsidized Participation Fee for CLE Members : The CLE Participation in the Mosshoes-Mospel Fair September 2018 is under Funding Support from the Market Access Initiative Scheme (MAIS) of the Govt. of India. Considering the Cost of Space, Display Accessories,  Registration charges,  Support Services of the CLE and the MAIS Grant, the Participation Fee for a 9 sq m Stand works out to Rs. 50,000 which is the same as  the March 2018 edition with increased numbers of Booth accessories as detailed below.

Display Accessories Package :

Each participant will be provided with a 9 sq mtr booth with the following display accessories.

27Shelves OR Hanging Rods for displaying leather replacing either with metal wire mesh),

1 Table, 3 Chairs, 6 spot Lights (standard white spot lights), 1 Trash Can, 1 10’*10’ Carpet(thick), Stuffing Paper, Fascia Board

Any other Additional Accessories / Extra Requirement of the display accessories will be charged additionally to the individual participant requesting the same.

Interested Members are requested to send the duly filled application form (copy enclosed) along with the full participation fee as mentioned above through a Cheque/DD drawn in favour of COUNCIL FOR LEATHER EXPORTS on or before May 25, 2018 to either Council’s Head Office in Chennai or Regional Offices at Delhi, Kanpur, Mumbai, Kolkata & Agra.

Participation will be confirmed on ‘first-come-first serve’ basis as per the Payment received.
