Sub: Mega Leather, Footwear & Accessories Cluster at Kotapatnam, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh – Expression of Interest sought by KPILC
This is to inform that State Government of Andhra Pradesh is setting up a Mega Leather, Footwear & Accessories Cluster (MLFAC) at Kothapatnam, Kota Mandal, SPSR Nellore District. The proposed total land area of the project is about 537 acres of land. The project is implemented by the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) namely Krishnapatnam International Leather Complex Pvt. Ltd (KPILC), which is a Joint Venture between Andhra Pradesh Industrial Investment Corporation (APIIC) and Leather Industries Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (LIDCAP). The project site is located – 76 km by road from Krishnapatnam Port, 180 km from Chennai port and 160 km from Ennore port. Sea coast is 2 km away from the project site. Nearest Railway Stations are Gudur (35 km) and Nellore (80 km). The proposed new cluster shall have units dedicated to manufacturing of leather and leather products viz. footwear, footwear components, leather goods (including gloves), leather bags, leather garments, saddlery & harness items etc. This project has been approved by the DPIIT, Government of India under the Indian Footwear, Leather & Accessories Development Programme (IFLADP).
KPILC has issued an ‘Invitation for Expression of Interest’ dated 29.12.2020, inviting expression of interest from prospective entrepreneurs interested to set up manufacturing units in the proposed new greenfield cluster at Kothapatnam, AP. The EOI document has been hosted in the website of APIIC www.apiic.in. The EOI Document dated 29.12.2020 along with the advertisement clip published in the newspaper is attached herewith for your perusal.
Interested units may submit their Expression of Interest addressed to The Chief Executive Officer, Krishnapatnam International Leather Complex Private Limited, APIIC Towers, IT Park, Mangalagiri, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh 522503 via Email kpilp.lp@gmail.com, followed by hardcopy submission via Post/Courier to above mentioned address. The last date for submission of EOI to the KPILC is 31st January 2021.
