Sub : Facilities for Status Holder

Kindly refer to our earlier circular giving details of benefits available to Status Holders under Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-2020. Please find below the following circulars/trade notices issued by DGFT with regard to Status Holders.

(1) Trade Notice No.04/2015 dated 8th June 2015 regarding preferential treatment for Status Holders

(2)Notification No.9/2015 dated 4th June 2015 regarding amendment in Para 3.24 (j) of Chapter 3 of Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 as detailed below

3.24 Privileges of Status Holders: (j) “Status Holders shall be entitled to export freely exportable items on free of cost basis for export promotion subject to an annual limit of Rs.10 lakh or 2% of average annual export realization during preceding three licensing years, whichever is lower”.

Public Notice No.17/2015-2020 dated 4th June 2015 incorporating para 3.19 to the Handbook of Procedures as detailed below.

3.19 Application for grant of Status Certificate : Status Certificates issued under FTP 2009-14 to an IEC holder shall remain valid till 30th September 2015 or till the issuance of status certificate to such IEC holder under FTP 2015-2020, whichever is earlier.

Public Notice No.18/2015-2020 dated 4th June 2015 incorporating Para 2.84 to the Handbook of Procedures of FTP 2015-2020 as given below:

2.84 – Free of Cost Exports for Status Holders : “Status holders shall be entitled to export freely exportable items on free of cost basis for export promotion subject to an annual limit of Rs.10 lakh or 2% of average annual export realization during preceding three licensing years, whichever is lower.
