Sub : India Leather Days, Germany, Nov. 16-17,2016 (Wednesday and Thursday)
Dear Member,
As you are all aware, CLE has been organizing the India Leather Days events for Leather Goods and Leather Garments since Nov. 2012. This show has now established itself as a popular stand alone event in Germany, thereby promoting India Brand Image.
1.India’s export of leather & leather products to Germany has increased from US$ 491.27 million in 2009-10 to US$ 800.19 million in 2014-15, growing at a CAGR of 10.24%, accounting for a share of 12.32% in India’s total leather & leather products export trade of US$ 6494.41 million in 2014-15. Hence, Germany is a major market for Indian leather & leather Products.
2.Though there is a slide in exports to Germany last year (2015-16) on account of general recession in Europe, exports are expected to show positive growth this year.
3.India had a market share of 16.45% in respect of Leather Goods and 30.04% in respect of Leather Garments in Germany during 2014-15.
4.The November 2015 edition of India Leather Days was a great success, with the participation of 49 exhibitors. 245 buyers attended the event, thereby reflecting the huge success in terms of buyer turnout. According to the feedback of Indian Exporters, the show generated Spot business orders worth Euro 1,96,000 and Future business Orders worth Euro 21,51,000.
DATES OF 2016 EVENT:
5.The upcoming edition of the India Leather Days event will be held during Nov. 16-17, 2016 (Wednesday and Thursday) at the same venue i.e. Messe Offenbach Fair Grounds in Offenbach, Germany. Messe Offenbach GmbH will be the marketing agency for the event, as in the past. This show is for display of Leather Goods (bags, wallets, purses etc.,) and Leather Garments only.
6. An Investment Seminar, by FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing was also organized during last year’s India Leather Days event, in which opportunities for establishment of business in Germany were highlighted. Similar seminar will be organized during Nov. 2016 India Leather Days event also.
7. In order to ensure maximum buyers turnout the following extensive marketing activities are planned to be undertaken prior to the event.
·Advertisements in Textilwirtschaft online ( 4 weeks).
·Advertisements in the Lederwaren Report News Letter (online) ( 4 weeks).
.Distribution of 4000 leaflets to buyers during ILM Summer Styles Fair, Offenbach, Sept. 2016
·Circulation of leaflets with registration slips to about 6500 buyers etc.
·Follow-up e-mail campaign with buyers
FEE DETAILS:-
The fee for participation in India Leather Days Nov. 2016 is Rs.75,000/- per company. However, the fee will be Rs.1,10,000/- per company for members who have participated in all the three previous editions namely Nov. 2012, Nov. 2014 and Nov. 2015 under MAIS grant.
8. In the 2016 edition, each participant will be provided will a fully constructed booth (with shelves for exhibitors displaying leather goods and with rods +hangers for participants displaying leather garments) of 9 sq.mtr. The booth size will be uniform for all participants and there is no scope for enhancement of booth area for any participants. Participants may take care of their air ticket bookings and hotel accommodation. However, CLE will suggest the name of the hotel where booking can be made.
Members interested to participate in the event are requested to send the duly filled application form (copy enclosed) along with the full participation fee as mentioned above through a Cheque/DD drawn in favour of COUNCIL FOR LEATHER EXPORTS on or before June 10,2016. Please note that in the application form, the HS Codes of products to be displayed needs to be given, as per instructions of Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Hence, kindly tick against the relevant product in the enclosed application form, without fail.
Please note that a maximum of 49 participants alone can be accommodated and hence the stands will be allotted only on first come first serve basis i.e. on the basis of payment received in CLE.
