About the US Market:
The USA is the world’s largest market for Footwear, Leather Garments and Leather Goods & Accessories / Gloves. USA’s import of leather and leather products has increased from US $ 25369.58 million in the year 2010-11 to US $ 33746.58 million in the year 2014-15, growing at a CAGR of 7.39%. India’s export of leather and leather products has increased from US $ 348.12 million in the year 2010-11 to US $ 767.95 million in the year 2014-15, growing at a CAGR of 21.88%.
Over the years, India’s leather products & footwear exports to USA have been steadily increasing and latest reports shows that India’s export of leather & leather products to USA during April-March 2015-16 has reached the level of US $ 833.92 million as against US $ 767.95 million recorded during the corresponding period of previous year. As per Indian leather sector export data for the period April-March 2015-16, USA was the largest destination-country for India’s exports, with a share of 14.25%, followed by U.K. (12.24%) and Germany (11.51%).
The MAGIC Show is positioned as a Fashion Event, and comprises eleven unique events showcasing the latest in Apparel, Footwear, Accessories, and Manufacturing. As per the organizers “Twice annually, 60,000+ fashion industry insiders meet in

Sourcing Events at MAGIC Show : A major Apparel & Fabric Sourcing Trade Show in North America, the Sourcing at Magic Fair, connects manufacturers, fabric & trim suppliers print design studios and service providers all over the world to Branded Apparel & Accessory Companies, Importers, Designers and Product Development Team. Product and Services on offer at Sourcing at MAGIC include manufacturers fabric & textile mills trim & components print design service providers Las Vegas provides the backdrop for this event which also feature educational seminar series with sessions emphasizing industry issues and trends that impact productivity and profitability
The Sourcing Section at MAGIC is dedicated to Contract Manufacturing and Private Label business. Sourcing at MAGIC has been conceptualized to provide a space for large retail buyers, global importers, licensees and brands to meet and conduct business with overseas manufacturers / suppliers from international manufacturing countries. A few years ago MAGIC introduced the section for Footwear Brands & Retailers i.e FN Platform. Almost, concurrently a Sourcing Section was incorporated for Footwear Contract Manufacturers. The Footwear Display Area in the Sourcing Section in MAGIC Show is now named as the “WSA @ MAGIC Show” and the Apparel & Accessories Sourcing area continues to be referred to as the “Sourcing at MAGIC Show”. Council’s participation in the MAGIC Show/MAGIC Market Week, Aug 13-16,2017 The Council has organized the ‘India Pavilion’ in the last edition of the MAGIC Show held during Feb 2017, in which 24 member-companies participated and positive feedback has been received. The Council’s Participation in the MAGIC Show, August 2017 is under funding support from the Market Access Initiative Scheme (MAIS), of the Govt. of India, with the funding support restricted to a total of 25 participating companies.
Considering the size & potential of the US market and the opportunities for India in the same, the Council proposes to organize “India Pavilion” in MAGIC for Footwear and in SOURCING @ MAGIC for Leather Products & Accessories. Participation Fee for both Footwear and Leather Garments & Goods Booths are given below for a Built Up Booth

(a) For Companies displaying Footwear : Towards promoting the WSA @ Sourcing Show for Footwear, the organizers are offering a special discounted price for Raw Space for footwear exhibitors. As per the indicated cost of a built-up booth by the organizers, and considering other services provided by CLE, the tentative subsidized Participation Fee works out to Rs. 210,000/- for a minimum-sized stand of 100 sq ft .
(b) For Companies displaying Leather Garments or Leather Goods – Similarly, there is a special discounted price for exhibitors displaying Garments/Goods. On the basis of costs as given by the Fair Organizer and considering additional services provided by CLE, the tentative subsidized Participation Fee works out to Rs. 257,000/- for a minimum-sized stand of 100 sq ft if member exhibitors
Members interested to participate in the MAGIC Show/MAGIC Market Week, August 2017 may please send the attached duly filled-in Application Form along with the participation charges of Rs. 210000 /- for footwear and Rs. 257000/- for Leather Goods / Garments for a minimum-sized booth of 100 sq ft; by Cheque /DD drawn in favour of Council for Leather Exports. This may be sent either to the Council’s Head Office in Chennai or Regional Offices at Delhi, Kanpur, Mumbai, Kolkata and two extension offices at Agra & Jalandhar on or May 20, 2017.
Important Note: Members may please note that a maximum of 25 members can be enlisted at the Subsidized Participation Fee for both Footwear and Garments & Goods segments. Space at subsidized Fee will be allotted on First Come First Served basis as per receipt of full participation Fee by the Council from the interested member.
No MDA Grant for Individual Exporters under MDA Scheme:
There will be no MDA Grant for Individual Exporters as the Council is organizing participation in the MAGIC Show, August 2017 under funding support from the Market Access Initiative Scheme (MAIS) of the Govt. of India.
Members may also please note that participants will have to arrange for the US Visa on their own. However, CLE will arrange for the Invitation Letter from the fair organizer to facilitate obtaining of visas by participants. Kindly note that non-issuance of Visa will not be considered as a valid ground for withdrawal subsequent to confirmation of participation. Hence, withdrawal from participation after confirmation will not be allowed.
