Sub:     Awareness campaign & Workshop on IDLS Scheme – Ambur on 02.05.2019 & Chennai on 03.05.2019

This is regarding the Integrated Development of Leather Sector (IDLS) Scheme, which is currently under implementation as one of the sub-schemes of Indian Footwear, Leather & Accessories Development Programme (IFLADP) 2017-2020. The CLE as a coordination agency has created awareness of the scheme guidelines and procedures amongst the leather sector entrepreneurs across the country, and CLE is providing guidance and handholding support to the manufacturing units, for submission of applications as per formats in online portal and subsequent coordination with the units, PIUs for completion of all required formalities.

In furtherance to above, the CLE now proposes to organize Awareness campaign & Workshop on IDLS Scheme in Ambur & Chennai, as per the following schedules:

The Workshop would cover various aspects of the IDLS Scheme such as documentations required in filing of applications; highlighting the points on which corrections are required in the already filed applications so that technical appraisal process can be expedited by PIU etc, and would clarify to the queries raised by the industry. The CLE has invited PIU-FDDI and PIU-CLRI to participate in the Workshops and highlight the appraisal process of the applications.

Furthermore, members having any clarifications or queries about other sub-schemes of IFLADP 2017-2020, these will also be clarified by CLE.

Members are requested to attend the Workshop with required documents to seek the clarifications from officials of PIUs and CLE regarding IDLS Scheme. Those who already filed their applications, which are under appraisal process, are also invited to attend the Workshop and interact with officials for necessary clarifications which will enable them to submit the required documents to the PIUs subsequently, enabling faster completion of the technical appraisal process.

The CLE would request the members to kindly make it convenient to attend the above Workshops. Members may confirm their participation by return mail, along with names of persons who will be attending, and which location they would be attending the workshop.
