(Exporters of Footwear Components other than Uppers)

Sub: Export Award for Footwear Components (other than Uppers) for the year 2014-15

Dear Member,

As you are aware, the Council presents Export Awards to Member-Exporters of Footwear Components (other than Uppers) category every year in recognition of their efforts in enhancing the export of Footwear Components (other than Uppers). Therefore in respect of Export Performance 2013-14, the Council is considering to present Awards for these products.

Under this Category, there will be two Sub-Categories Namely :

• SOLES
• OTHER FOOTWEAR COMPONENTS

It has been decided by the 142nd Committee of Administration of the Council in its meeting held on 29th September 2012 that the Export Award for all Product Categories including the aforesaid two categories will be considered under following 6 Turnover slabs for the purpose of selection of Export Awards :

• Upto Rs.10 Crores
• Above Rs.10 Crores and upto Rs.50 Crores
• Above Rs.50 Crores and upto Rs.100 Crores
• Above Rs.100 Crores and upto Rs 200 Crores
• Above Rs 200 Crores and upto Rs 300 Crores
• Above Rs 300 Crores.

The Two Top Level performer (First Place and Second Place) in each product category in each Turnover slab will be considered for Award.

Weightage for Direct / Deemed Exports will be as under :

a) 100% weightage will be given to Export Turnover from Direct Exports
b) 50% Weightage will be given to Export Turnover from Deemed Exports to100% EOUs with CT3 or without CT3.

Example : if an Exporter has Exported Footwear Components worth Rs.2 crore as Direct exports and Rs. 1 Crore as Deemed Exports to 100% EOU with CT3 or without CT3.

Turnover that will be considered for Award will be = ( Rs.2 Crore + Rs. 0.5 Crore ) i.e Rs.2.50 crore (as against Total Export under all categories of Rs.3 crore)

It may also be noted that only if an exporter has made direct exports equivalent to a minimum of 10% of the total exports in all forms, he will be eligible to apply for the Export Award under these two categories.

The prescribed Application Form is enclosed herewith.

Separate application must be submitted for each sub-category of the Award. Only one application will be considered for Award under one category. Please note that exports value should be given only for above two categories during the last year (2014-15) and has to be certified either by Bankers or Chartered Accountant and supported with required documents.. Application without necessary Banker’s / Chartered Accountant certificate and supported with required documents will not be considered.

Deemed Exports :

The following documents has to be sent along with the Application Form in respect of Deemed exports :

• Deemed Exports for the year 2014-15 duly certified by Chartered Accountant
• Name of the 100% EOU, Registration Number, Purchase order reference number, Purchase order date, Quantity and amount for the year 2014-15 has to be sent in separate statement.

Member-exporters are requested to send the duly completed form in all respects to the Head Office of the Council so as to reach on or before 5th December 2015.
