Sub: Inviting Participation in Expo Riva Schuh Garda Fair, Italy January 16-19, 2016 from Existing & New Participants with Fully built up booth – Deadline November 30, 2015 under MAIS.

About the Italian Market

Italy is the 4th largest importer of leather & leather products from India accounting for a share of 8.72% in India ’s total leather export trade of US$ 5908.82 mn during 2013-14. Out of India ’s total leather & leather products export to Italy , Footwear alone holds a major share of 35.63% in 2013-14. Importantly, Italy is the sixth largest global importer of footwear at US$ 4932.25 million in 2012 and the fourth largest importer of Footwear from India . India ’s export of different categories of footwear to Italy has increased from US$ 163.66 mn in 2012-13 to US$ 183.7 mn in 2013-14, registering a growth of 12.24%. However as Members are aware, the Expo Riva Schuh Garda Fair has buyers from across Europe , and besides from countries outside the EU.

About the Fair
As members would be kindly aware, the Expo Riva Schuh Garda Fair held bi-annually in Garda , Italy is popular international footwear fair in which substantial number of Indian companies participate. The CLE has been organizing Group Participation of Members in this fair for many years, and the size of our participation has been continuously increasing. Considering our member-companies repeated requests for allotment of more space, with effect from June 2012, the entire Hall A3 in the Garda Fair dedicated to CLE, with the Fair Organizer providing built-up booths to CLE. This arrangement of the Fair Organizer providing built-up booths continued upto the previous June 2015 edition.

However, some member-participants in the CLE Pavilion in the Garda Fair have been requesting for allotment of Bare Space, so that they can undertake construction on their own and this has been communicated to the Fair Organizers too.

Hence for the January 16-19 2016 edition the Council will be offering two types of stands i.e (A) Fully Built Up Stands Or (B) Bare Space

It may be noted that the first preference for space allotment in the CLE pavilion in Hall A3 in the Jan’ 16 Edition of the Fair will be for existing participants. A deadline of November 30, 2015 has been fixed for CLE to confirm if we wish to take the entire Hall A3 for our member-companies in the January 2016 edition. In case the entire space in Hall A3 can be booked by CLE within the deadline, then no other country will be given space in Hall A3 and also the existing layout (as for the June 2015 edition) will not be changed. However, in case CLE is not able to book the entire space in Hall A3, then all existing companies who confirm participation in the next January 2016 edition by November 30 2015, will be accommodated in Hall A3; but there will be a new/changed Layout for (the lesser) area taken by CLE and the location of individual booths will also change.
This Circular is requesting confirmation of participation in the January 16-19, 2015 edition of the Garda Fair from member-companies who participated in the June 2015 edition of the Fair ( i.e. the Existing Participants), and also inviting members who wish to enlist as ‘New Participants’ to respond.

Subsidized Participation Fee due to MAI Funding of Govt. of India – The Cost of fully Built-up Stand in the January 2016 edition of the Expo Riva Schuh Garda Fair works out to Rs 19,500 per sq m or Rs 2,34,000 for a 12 sq m Built-up Booth. However, as the January 2016 edition of the Expo Riva Schuh Garda Fair is being organized under funding support from the Market Access Initiative Scheme (MAIS) of the Govt. of India, the subsidized Participation Fee is Rs.96,000/ (Rupees Ninety Six Thousand)- for a 12 sq meter Fully Built Up Stand.

Existing participants are requested to kindly confirm their interest in participating in the coming edition of the Expo Riva Schuh Garda Fair January 16-19, 2015 in Type A or Type B kind of Stand at the earliest. It may be kindly noted that existing participants can apply to only take a stand of the same size as in the Garda Fair June 2015. Existing Participants who are interested to participate in the Expo Riva Schuh Fair, Garda January 2016 are requested to send the attached filled-in Application Form along with 100% of the Participation Fee (as indicated in above Table, for different Booth Sizes) positively by November 30,2015.

New Participants – Members who are interested to participate in the Expo Riva Schuh Fair, Garda January 2015 as ‘New Participants’ are requested to send the attached filled-in Application Form along with the Participation Fee in Full, for a Fully Built up Booth with minimum-sized Stand of 12 sq mt before November 30,,2015. New Participants may kindly note that that there will be an additional amount of Rs.42,000/- in addition to the Participation Fee, towards Registration Charges for first time participation in the Expo Riva Schuh Garda Fair, Italy . Also new participants may note that the allotment of Booth is subject to availability.

Members may also note that participants will have to arrange the Visa to Italy on their own. However, CLE will arrange for the Invitation Letter from the fair organizer to facilitate obtaining of visas by participants. Those who require visa invitation letter from the fair organizer, please send us your company representative’s passport details in the suggested format given in the application on or before November 30, 2015. Kindly note that non-issuance of Visa will not be considered a valid ground for withdrawal subsequent to confirmation of participation. Hence, withdrawal from participation after confirmation will not be allowed.
