Sub : Provision of 2% Duty Credit Scrip under Focus Product Scheme for “Finished Leather”
Dear Sir
As informed to members earlier, the Hon’ble Union Minister for Commerce and Industry announced in the Annual Supplement 2010-11 to the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14 that Finished Leather export shall be entitled for Duty Credit Scrip @ 2% under Focus Product Scheme (FPS).
Accordingly, the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has now issued a Public Notice No.06/(RE-2010)/2009-14 dated 30th August 2010 regarding inclusion of Finished Leather falling under ITC (HS) Code 4107, 4112 and 4113 under Focus Product Scheme in Table 4 of Appendix 37 D of Handbook of Procedures – Vol. I for exports made with effect from 1.4.2010. As per this Public Notice Finished Leather falling under the aforesaid ITC (HS) Codes exported from 1.4.2010 will be eligible for a duty credit scrip of 2% under Focus Product Scheme.
