We wish your kind attention to our earlier circulars of even number dated Sept. 17, 2013 and September 19, 2013 on the above subject. Considering the lower drawback cap values notified for certain products, the Council had requested the Drawback Directorate to enhance the cap values for certain items like Articles of a kind normally carried in the pocket or hand bag, with outer surface of leather, of composition leather or of patent leather. (420207), Belts and bandoliers made of leather (420307) and Gloves, specially designed for use in sports namely golf gloves made of synthetic materials or made of leather in combination with synthetic materials (420304).
We are pleased to inform you that the Directorate of Drawback has positively considered some of our requests. Accordingly, the Central Board of Excise and Customs, Ministry of Finance has issued a Customs Notification (Non- Tariff) No. 05/2014 dated 21st January 2014 (copy enclosed) enhancing the cap values for the following items.
