Sub:  List of Machinery under IDLS Scheme – Request for industry input for inclusion of any new machinery to the List – reg.

As you are aware, the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India has issued the Notification dated 03.03.2022 for implementation of Indian Footwear & Leather Development Programme (IFLDP) for the 5-year period 2021-26. One of the sub-schemes of IFLDP is Integrated Development of Leather Sector (IDLS) scheme. The IDLS Scheme provides investment grant for modernization or technology upgradation or capacity expansion in all segments of the leather industry. The List of machinery eligible for investment grant under erstwhile IDLS Scheme 2017-2021 has been hosted in the website link: https://www.idls.fddiindia.com/public/upload/ILLUSTRATED_LIST.pdf.  In this background, DPIIT, Government of India has desired the CLE to seek industry inputs for addition of any new machinery which is to be added to the above list of machinery, for inclusion in the IDLS Scheme for 2021-26. Accordingly, the CLE requests you to kindly send your suggestions/inputs for addition of any machinery as per the following format:

Particulars	Industry Input
Product Segment – Which product segment the machinery should be included i.e., whether Tanneries, Footwear, Footwear Components, Leather Garments, Leather Goods, Saddlery & Harness, Auxiliary items etc.
Name of the machinery to be newly included
Technical Specifications / Functions of the machinery (Attach Brochure of the machinery, if available. Otherwise, give brief write up on the machinery)
Tentative – Domestic cost price inclusive of all taxes (if the machinery is available in India)
Tentative – Cost price + import duties + others = Landed Cost of the machinery (if the machinery is to be imported)

The above suggestions may be sent to PIU-CLRI (if it is pertaining to the tanneries) and to PIU-FDDI (if it is pertaining to the Footwear, Leather Products & Accessories, Auxiliary items etc) under copy to CLE. The contact details are given below:
