Dear Sirs,
Sub: Data on formal Employment generation in the Leather Sector
We invite your kind attention to the CLE’s circular dated 10th June 2019, requesting therein to provide Data on formal Employment generation in the Leather Sector.
Further to the above, we wish to inform that the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India has desired the CLE to provide the status of coverage of skilled and unskilled manpower (both in organized and unorganized sector) with social security benefits like ESIC & EPF etc along with an Action Plan to cover all the workforce in leather and footwear sector under ambit of ESIC, EPF.
You are requested to kindly provide information on the total number of persons formally employed in your company, as per the format enclosed. Since the Ministry is urgently seeking information on the above, you may kindly arrange to send the data to the CLE on or before 21.06.2019.
