CLE Circular – Data on formal Employment generation in the Leather Sector

Dear Sirs,
Sub: Data on formal Employment generation in the Leather Sector
As per the directives of the Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, the CLE is required to ascertain the formal employment generation in the leather sector.
In this regard, the CLE requests you to provide information on the total number of persons formally employed in your company, who are registered with Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and who are having the Universal Account Number (UAN) as on 31.03.2019, as per your books, and under Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act. A Format is attached herewith, in which you may provide your data.
Please note that we only need total number of employees who are registered with EPFO, and we do not need detailed statement, their EPFO numbers, names etc. Please also provide details in respect of staff and officers, who are not enrolled in EPFO due to various reasons including for their higher scale of salaries. Apart from units registered with CLE, we also need information from all group companies, sister concerns, trading companies, units in the domestic retail sector etc who are not registered with CLE. For each company, provide provide separate sheet as per Format.
Since the above information is required to be submitted to the Ministry urgently, kindly arrange to send data as per the attached FORMAT to the CLE on or before 14.06.2019 to Head Office email ID: cle@cleindia.com, under copy to Regional office Email ID.
