Sub : Government announces implementation of Four Labour Codes with effect from 21st November 2025

Kindly find enclosed a detailed Press Release dated 21.11.25 (copy enclosed) issued by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India on the above subject. The said Press release contains detailed comparison of various changes made in the said Labour code as compared to earlier labour laws.
The said Press Release also stated that the rules, regulations, schemes etc., under the said Labour Codes will be drafted in consultation with public and stakeholders. During transition, the relevant provisions of the existing labour laws and their respective rules, regulations, notifications, standards, schemes etc., will continue to remain in force.
Government of India has also issued another Press Release dated 21.11.25 (copy enclosed) highlighting the major aspects of various labour codes.
