Sub : Implementation of Duty Free Import Scheme (DFIS) – Enhanced Service Tax Rate

Kindly refer to our earlier circular of March 27, 2015 on the above subject (given below).

As the Service Tax rate has been enhanced from 12% to 14% with effect from June 1, 2015, the enhanced Service Tax rate of 14% will apply for payments under DFIS scheme as well.
Accordingly, the 14% Service Tax rate may be paid on CLE Service charges for issue of Export Performance Certificate and Import Certificate under DFIS scheme with effect from June 1, 2015.

Members may kindly note the above and avail the scheme accordingly.
