Please find enclosed a Press Release issued today by Ministry of Commerce and Industry (copy enclosed) informing that India and New Zealand have concluded a comprehensive, balanced and forward-looking Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
This FTA will result in Elimination of tariffs on 100% of tariff lines of New Zealand, thereby providing duty-free access for all Indian exports, including leathers (Chapter 41), leather products (Chapter 42) and Footwear and Footwear Components (Chapter 64). This market access enhances the competitiveness of India’s labour-intensive sectors including leather and footwear.
