Sub: Interaction Meeting on IFLADP 2017-2020 – 28.01.2020 (Tuesday) at Agra Trade Centre, Agra

As you are aware, Indian Footwear, Leather & Accessories Development Programme (IFLADP) is currently under implementation by Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India as a special package for employment generation in leather & footwear sector, with an approved outlay of Rs.2600 Crores over the 3 financial years 2017-2020. The sub-schemes of IFLADP are: (1) Human Resource Development (2) Mega Leather, Footwear and Accessories Cluster (3) Integrated Development of Leather Sector (IDLS) Scheme (4) Leather Technology, Innovation and Environmental Issues (5) Establishment of Institutional Facilities (6) Promotion of Indian Brands (7) Additional Employment Incentive. The validity period of the IFLADP will come to an end on 31^st March 2020, and DPIIT, Government of India proposes to evaluate the performance of IFLADP in terms of availment of schemes by the industry, achievement of set objectives etc. The DPIIT has assigned the evaluation/appraisal work of IFLADP to Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). IIFT has approached and requested the CLE to organize Interaction Meeting with manufacturing units and Industry Associations to enable the IIFT to have discussions and elicit the views/feedback of the industry towards evaluation /appraisal of IFLADP sub-schemes.

In this background, the CLE has convened an Interaction Meeting on IFLADP 2017-2020 in which IIFT will participate and seek the views/opinions/feedback of the industry on sub-schemes of IFLADP. The Meeting details are as under:
