Dear Member,

Sub: Inviting Participation in 6TH edition of LEATHERTEC Fair, November 22 – 24, 2018, International Convention City, Bashundhara, Dhaka, Bangladesh under MAI Funding.

We wish to inform you that the Council proposes to organize group participation of Members in the subject LEATHERTECH Bangladesh 2018 tradeshow scheduled during November 22 – 24, 2018 at International Convention City, Bashundhara, Dhaka under MAI Funding scheme.

About the Bangladesh Market: Bangladesh is a growing market for leather and leather products.  India’s export of leather and leather products increased from US$ 10.91 million in 2012 to US$ 35.10 million in 2016, the percentage share of Indian is 10.42%.

India’s export of Footwear component increased from US $ 0.40 Million in 2012 to US $ 0.55 Million in 2016. Hence, there is a good scope for export of Footwear Component to Bangladesh.

About the LEATHERTEC Bangladesh 2018- LEATHERTECH Bangladesh is an International Tradeshow on Leather & Footwear, Machinery, Components & Accessories. The 6th edition of Tradeshow 2018 is organized by ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd (Bangladesh) and the Council had also organized group participation of member companies in 2018.

Post-Show Report:

5TH edition of Leathertech, Bangladesh 2017 attracted 7975 business visitors from all sectors of the industry including Tanners, Footwear manufacturers & Exporters, Leather Goods manufacturers & exporters, indenters, Buying offices and potential. CLE India Pavilion was organized with 10 member companies.

4th Edition of  Leathertech, Bangladesh 2016 attracted 4650 business visitors from all sectors of the industry including Tanners, Footwear manufacturers & Exporters, Leather Goods manufacturers & exporters, indenters, Buying offices and potential. CLE India Pavilion was organized with 10 member companies.

Council’s participation in the LEATHERTECH Bangladesh

Considering the market opportunities in Bangladesh for Footwear Components and positive feedback from our member companies, the Council proposes to organize member participation in LEATHERTECH Bangladesh in the 6th edition under MAI funding support from the DOC.

Participation Fee:

The tentative Participation Cost is works out to Rs1,33,596/- per 12 sq.mtrs built-up Stand and proposed to collect Rs.25,000/- only as the subsidized cost of participation which includes the following display accessories:

• One information Counter
• Four Chairs
• Six Spot Lights
• Three Wooden Shelves OR Three Hanging Rod
• One Glass Round Table
• One 5 AMP Plug Point
• Name Fascia (Two Fascia incase of Two side open booth)
• High-raised Fascia Branding
• Built p booth with Panel
• Carpet
• Entry of Company/Product profile in the Exhibitor Directory
• One Waste Basket
• Two 1 Liter Water bottle (for 4 days) each

The participants have to bear the cost of additional accessories on their own if they require.

Strictly, the space allotment would be on First Come First Serve only. DOC approval is only for 25 CLE member companies to participate under the subsidized cost of participation. The Council won’t consider for allotment of stands for the cheque bouncing / Return of cheque cases for any reasons

Members may also note that participants will have to arrange the Visa on their own.  However, CLE will arrange for the invitation letter from the fair organizer to facilitate obtaining of visas by participants.  Kindly note that non-issuance of Visa will not be considered as a valid ground for withdrawal subsequent to confirmation of participation.  Hence, withdrawal from participation after confirmation will not be allowed.

Since the Council is organizing participation in this fair for the first time under MAI funding, the MAI guideline for fair participation would be followed strictly. A member company can participate only in any two events in a year under Subsidized Cost of Participation. Beyond, two events, Member company has to pay the fee for Unsubsidized Cost of participation only. Exhibitor those who require additional booths can remit the unsubsidized participation fee of Rs.103000/- for the addl 12 sq.Mt booth.

Members are requested to kindly send the duly filled-up Application Form along with Participation Charges of Rs.25,000/- for  12  sq.mtrs Built-up Stand by Cheque / DD drawn in favour of Council for Leather Exports.  This may be sent to either Council’s Head Office in Chennai or Regional Offices at Delhi, Kanpur, Mumbai, Kolkata and Agra & Jalandhar  on or before August 25 , 2018.

The unsubsidized cost of participation for 12 sq.Mt is Rs.1,03,000/-

Withdrawal from participation after confirmation shall not be allowed under any circumstances and the Participation Fee will be forfeited since the Council will not get refund for cancellation from the fair organizers.
