Sub: Open House Meet for IDLS Scheme at all the CLE Offices, every Wednesday
As members are aware, the CLE is the Facilitation Agency for the Integrated Development of Leather Sector (IDLS) Scheme being implemented as one of the sub-schemes of the flagship Indian Leather Development Programme (ILDP) monitored by Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, with the basic purpose to guide, facilitate and coordinate with the production units in the leather sector and stakeholder agencies (SIDBI, FDDI, CLRI & DIPP) in all aspects of the receipt of applications, coordination in application processing by PIUs and approval process till the funds are ultimately disbursed to the units.
It has been stated and observed that there is considerable time gap between the date of the Sanction Letter and the claim lodged by the SIDBI Branches with the SIDBI HO. According to the SIDBI, the beneficiary units are not approaching SIDBI in time or taking longer time to complete the documentations with the SIDBI. The DIPP is urging the CLE to follow-up with the units whose cases have been approved and ensure that the units completes documentations and SIDBI Branches lodges the claims with the SIDBI HO.
Being the Facilitation Agency, the CLE plays a pivotal role in the implementation of the IDLS Scheme. To have a continuous monitoring of the cases under IDLS Scheme, it has been decided to organize an ‘Open House Meet for the IDLS Scheme’, every Wednesday from 10.00am to 1.00pm at all the Regional Offices at Chennai, New Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata & Mumbai and Extension Offices at Agra & Jalandhar.
The Regional Directors in the case of Regional Offices and Assistant Director or Office-in-charge in the case of Extension Offices will be present in the OPM to interact with the participants. Through the Video Conference Facility installed at the CLE offices, the Assistant Director (ILDP) will take part in the OPM from Head Office and will have detailed interactions with the Regional Directors on each case basis being handled in that period and would also clarify to any query raised by the participant.
The Council would request you to make use of the above OPM forum being organized every Wednesday at the CLE Offices, and make it convenient to attend the OPM with all supporting documents / files of your case.
While the Regional Offices / Extension Offices will be inviting concerned units whose case is under process, this circular may be treated as invitation for all the Open House Meets for the IDLS Scheme to be held every Wednesday.
We would once again seek your active participation in the Open House Meets for the IDLS Scheme, as a measure to coordinate documentations completion process by your unit with SIDBI, leading to early lodging of your claim by SIDBI Branch.
