Sub : Quality Control Order on footwear/components – non applicability to micro and small manufacturing units
Dear Member,
As you are kindly aware, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) had notified the following Quality Control Orders (QCO) , which will come into effect from 1st July 2023.
| Gazette Notification No.2600 E dated 3rd June 2022 | QCO on footwear made from all rubber and all polymeric material and its components |
| Gazette Notification No. 2599 (E) dated 3rd June 2022 | QCO on footwear made from leather and other materials |
The DPIIT has subsequently issued Gazette Notifications No.3880 E) and 3775 (E) dated dated 11.8.22, stating that the aforementioned QCOs will not apply to micro and small manufacturing units.
Copies of the aforementioned Gazette Notifications are enclosed herewith.
