Sub : Revised All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback w.e.f. 30.10.23

Dear Sir,

We would like to inform you that the Department of Revenue has notified the revised All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback w.e.f. 30.10.2023, vide Notification No.77/2023 – Customs (NT) dated Oct. 20, 2023. The following are the highlights.

·        Drawback rates as well as Cap value have been substantially increased for leather, leather products and footwear.

·        Drawback rates have been extended to Crust Leather and EI Tanned leather.

·        The product description of many footwear and upper categories have been changed so as to avoid any interpretation issue.

·        Table showing existing and revised drawback rates along with a copy of the aforesaid notification are enclosed herewith for your reference.

It may be noted that CLE had made a detailed representation along with cost data requesting increase of Drawback rates for leather, leather products and footwear. We thank the Drawback Committee and Department of Revenue for enhancing the Drawback rates and Cap Values.
