Sub: Two Day Buyer Seller Meet in Toronto, Canada – October 14-15, 2015
As you are kindly aware, Canada is ranked among the top 15 global importers of leather & leather products in the world with an import value of US$ 2903.88 mn. India’s export of leather and leather products to Canada touched US$ 51.43 mn in 2013-14 as against the export of US$ 45.71 mn in the corresponding period last year, recording a positive growth of 12.52%. Out of India’s total export of US$ 5908.82 mn, export to Canada alone accounts for a share of close to 1%.
Hence, considering the import potential of Canada, the Council, had organized exclusive Buyer-Seller Meets in Montreal during October 2012 under MAI funding support of Govt of India. The BSM witnessed participation of more than 30 Member companies and was quite successful in terms of attracting potential Canadian Buyers to the Show and facilitating business meetings.
In the light of the success story, the Council has planned to organise a Two-Day Buyer-Seller Meet in Toronto, Canada during October 14-15, 2015 with participation of 30 Member exporters.
Since the proposed BSM has been approved under MAI Scheme of Gov of India, the participation fee has been very nominally fixed at Rs.75,000/- per company to faciliate participation of large number of member exporters in the BSM.
In this background, I request all Member Exporters to consider participating in this important Event in Canada for exploring the possibilities of enhancing India’s export of leather products to Canada.
Interested Members may confirm their participation by sending the filled-in Application Form along with the Participation Fee of Rs.75,000/- through a Cheque/DD drawn in favour of Council for Leather Exports at the earliest to enable us finalize the list of participants and undertake all the required logistic and marketing arrangements in advance.
