As we all know that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in restriction of overseas travel leading to cancellation of most of the reputed international fairs and exhibitions all across the globe. During such challenging times and restrictions, as the world moves to a New Normal scenario, the need of the hour is to move ahead and shift our focus from participating in physical exhibitions to virtual shows to connect with overseas buyers and build long term business engagements.

In this regard, CLE is planning to organize a series of Virtual Buyer Seller Meets (VBSMs) during January-March, 2021, with the funding support of Government of India under Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme.  The details of first 3 Virtual BSMs are given below:-

In addition to the above, there are 4 more Virtual BSMs (Australia, UAE, Italy and Vietnam) and dates will be announced shortly.  Council is availing the service of M/s Falcon Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi as the Event Management Agency for conducting the Virtual BSM, including mobilization of targeted number of buyers.

Exhibitor’s Profile:-      Footwear (both leather and non-leather), finished leather, leather garments, leather goods & accessories/Leather products, including all categories of leather gloves (Fashion & Industrial), harness& saddlery products.

Participation fee:-        Taking into account the overall expenses with regard to marketing, virtual platform and buyers mobilization, we have fixed a nominal participation fee (un-subsidized fee) @ Rs. 38,000/- + 18% GST (Rs. 44,840/- inclusive of GST) per participant per show.

MAI Grant:-         CLE’s proposal for conducting the above Virtual BSMs have been approved by the Sub-Committee of MAI Scheme and approval of the Empowered Committee is awaited. Once we receive the sanctioned funds from the Department of Commerce, eligible grant in aid will be reimbursed proportionately to the participants.  The grant amount may be ranging between Rs. 23,000/- to 28,000/- per company per event.  The subsidy (subject to approval of the Empowered Committee) will be available for 25-30 companies for each event, on first-come-first-served basis.

We are expecting participation of 40-50 buyers for each event.  Indian exhibitors may get 5-7 business meetings/buyers during the 3 day show, based on their product profile.

Keeping in view the above, members, those who are interested to participate in the above listed 3 Virtual Buyer Seller Meets may confirm their participation by sending the attached application format, duly filled in, by return mail.  The participation fee of Rs. 44,840/- (inclusive of GST), per participant per event, may be remitted to CLE’s below given bank account and inform us the UTR details latest by 31^st December, 2020.
