About the All China Leather Exhibition:
The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) Shanghai 2014 is a Fair for Raw Material including Leather & other Synthetic Materials, Chemicals, Components & Accessories, Machinery, Technology etc. The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) is organized by APLF Ltd, and the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA). ACLE was launched 16 years ago as a business platform aimed at the Chinese market. Since then, ACLE has continued to grow attracting both Chinese and international exhibitors that wish to penetrate the Chinese market.
The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) in Shanghai is organized concurrently with the China International Footwear (CIFF) and the Moda Shanghai Fair, Shanghai-China. These three fairs cover the entire supply chain of the Leather & Footwear sector ie from raw materials, chemical & dyes, semi finished leathers, machinery etc right through to finished products of Footwear, Leather Garments & Leather Goods/Accessories.
Display Products in the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) comprise:
- Hides and Skins / Semi- Finished Leather/ Finished Leather
- Exotic Leathers / Man-made Leather
- Synthetic / Natural Materials / Process Chemicals and Dyes
- Component and Accessories / Equipment and Tools
- Tanning Machinery / Technology (e.g. CAD, CAM System)

Post Show Report of September 2014 Edition – In September 2014 over 1,301 exhibitors and 22,204 buyers attended the 3 concurrent fairs. There were 1,119 exhibitors from 41 countries. In total, there were 7 Exhibition Halls housing the participants who had grown by over 8.33% compared to the previous year. There were 21 overseas pavilions including from Australia, Brazil, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the USA.
The Fair organizers have informed that it is highly probable that the September 2015 numbers will be substantially higher.
About the Chinese Market:
China is an important market for leather and leather products. China’s import of leather & leather products increased from US$ 5165.89 million in 2008 to US $ 7172.21 million n 2012,growing at a CAGR of 8.54 %. China with its large Footwear and Leather Products Industry is also a big market for Leather, Components, Chemicals etc.
Council’s participation in the ACLE September 2-4, 2015:
Considering the market opportunities in China, and positive feed back received from our member exporters to Council’s participation in the previous edition of the ACLE Fair; the Council has proposed to include this activity under the MDA scheme as part of the CLE’s MDA Annual Action plan for the year 2014-15.
The Council will organise an India Pavilion for Finished Leather, Components & Accessories in the ACLE in Built-up Booths of Minimum Size of 9 sq.mt Stand. Larger booths, with size measuring in multiplies of 3 sq.Mt. i.e 12 sq.Mt, 15 sq.Mt, 18 Sq.Mt etc can be taken by members.
Participation Fee:
The tentative Participation Cost is Rs.3,80,000/- per 9 sq m booth.
Submission Of Application
Interested member exporters are requested to send in their Application Form (Pro forma enclosed) along-with cheque /DD towards the adhoc participation charges as per the space requirement mentioned above. The cheque/DD should be in favour of Council for Leather Exports. This may be sent to the Council’s Head Office in Chennai or Regional Offices in Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Agra and Jalandhar before 15th June 2015 enabling the Council to confirm the space requirements for the CLE India Pavilion in the ALL CHINA LEATHER EXHIBITION – ACLE Fair and to include the participating companies profile information in the official Fair Catalogue. There is no MDA Grant Reimbursement available for Individual Exporters participating in this fair.
Members may also note that participants will have to arrange their Visa on their own. However, CLE will arrange for the Invitation Letter from the fair organizer for two person per company to facilitate obtaining of visas to participants. If any of the exhibitors needs the Invitation Letter more than two of their company representatives an amount of US $ 30 (Equivalent in INR 1900) is to be paid in addition to the Participation Fee. Kindly note that non-issuance of Visa will not be considered as a valid ground for withdrawal, subsequent to confirmation of participation. Hence, withdrawal from participation after confirmation will not be allowed.
