Dear Members,
Guatemala has imported footwear, leather and leather products worth USD 196.52 million during 2017-18 and their major item of import was Footwear (USD 161.76 million). On the other hand, India’s export to Guatemala during 2017-18 was USD 6.72 million with finished leather as the major item of export @ USD 6.43 million. Hence, there is tremendous scope to explore possibilities for increasing our share of export (particularly leather and footwear) to Guatemala.
In this regard, recently CLE has received a communication from Shri B.S.
